About the Role
This Head of Product role is a hands-on product leadership position responsible for developing the Product organization, coaching Product Managers and Product Designers, strengthening discovery and decision-making, and translating company strategy into focused product bets, team missions, roadmap direction, and measurable outcomes.
The role combines product craft leadership with commercial judgment across unit economics, segment dynamics, pricing, packaging, expansion, Product Design, technically complex SaaS, Domain-Driven Design, and AI-enabled product development. It partners closely with executive, engineering, design, marketing, clinical, customer-facing, and commercial stakeholders while keeping human judgment, customer empathy, quality, and responsible AI use central to product decisions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the Product organization, coaching Product Managers and Product Designers in discovery, prioritization, design, product judgment, stakeholder management, communication, and ownership.
- Build a strong coaching model for current and future PMs, including professionals entering product from clinical or provider-side roles, and help define strong product management practices, PM profiles, hiring standards, team structure, and development paths.
- Own the commercial case for major roadmap investments by evaluating unit economics, segment dynamics, pricing, packaging, expansion opportunities, retention, adoption, revenue impact, and segment win rates in partnership with commercial and technical leadership.
- Strengthen continuous product discovery using empowered teams, product trios, problems-to-solve thinking, customer discovery, problem framing, hypothesis development, opportunity sizing, validation, and Marty Cagan-style product practices.
- Guide Product, Design, and Engineering toward measurable outcomes by defining desired changes, progress signals, customer and business impact, and the tradeoffs required to move beyond feature-focused delivery.
- Lead Product Design as an integrated part of the Product organization, embedding usability, accessibility, simplicity, user empathy, cohesive design patterns, prototyping, and validation early in product thinking.
- Partner deeply with the CTO and engineering leads so Product and Engineering operate around shared domain understanding, use cases, architecture, technical foundations, quality, speed, and customer impact.
- Advance Domain-Driven Design by helping PMs, designers, and engineers translate complex clinical, operational, and customer workflows into clear domain models, product models, and defensible product decisions.
- Carry forward a Human-Centered AI approach, helping teams use AI thoughtfully in discovery, synthesis, prototyping, delivery, QA, and decision-making while preserving human judgment, domain expertise, clinical responsibility, and product quality.
- Translate executive strategy and product vision into focused product bets, team priorities, roadmap direction, and measurable outcomes while providing structure, thoughtful pushback, and strong product judgment.
- Create lightweight product rhythms, decision frameworks, roadmap practices, review cadences, and shared discovery methods that improve alignment and clarity without unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
- Create clear roadmap communication across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Customer Success, Implementation, and Marketing so teams understand current priorities, longer-term direction, why key bets matter, and what is changing.
- Partner with customer, clinical, and commercial teams to turn customer and market signals into product opportunities, balance customer requests with long-term strategy, and connect product work to provider, clinician, family, and customer needs.
- Partner with Marketing on positioning, launches, customer-facing narratives, launch timing, campaigns, product value, and outcome-focused messaging.
- Raise the quality of product communication around problems, tradeoffs, decisions, launches, roadmap changes, and measurable impact.
- Help teams make fewer, higher-conviction bets and build stronger decision-making capability so product execution becomes less dependent on founder-led day-to-day involvement.
- Support product work across core provider workflows, outcomes intelligence, AI-enabled capabilities, and expansion into school district use cases.
