Night Cleaner

Employment type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50/hour

Schedule: Overnight shift

What this job involves

You’ll maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of a fitness facility during the overnight shift, including restrooms, locker rooms, equipment areas, common spaces, and other club facilities.

Cleaning responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, spa areas, and other common spaces.
• Vacuum floor surfaces.
• Operate a floor scrubber according to the established cleaning schedule.
• Dispose of trash and maintain trash cans and cleaning centers.
• Restock paper products and other supplies as needed.
• Report supply inventory needs to management.
• Clean and dust elevated areas such as ceiling fans, televisions, and rafters.
• Operate washing machines and dryers.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, including mop buckets and vacuum bags.
• Report broken or missing amenities and equipment.

Member support

• Greet members and guests entering or leaving the facility.
• Assist members with questions or concerns.
• Answer phone calls and respond to basic inquiries.
• Process retail transactions accurately when needed.
• Address member concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform routine walks through club areas and address safety or cleanliness concerns.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Cleaning and sanitizing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to become CPR/AED certified, with training provided.
• Reliable and punctual work habits.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for most of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, and work in different physical positions while cleaning.
• Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals.
