About the Role
This Senior Full Stack Engineer opportunity focuses on designing, developing, and scaling production web and mobile applications for a virtual maternal healthcare platform. The position involves building scalable backend services, delivering complex frontend and mobile features, and owning software development from system architecture through production deployment. Key responsibilities include making technical decisions, improving application performance and security, and mentoring junior engineers in an early-stage, Series A startup environment.
The role requires strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, and React Native, along with practical knowledge of GraphQL, REST, and SOAP APIs, SQL or NoSQL databases, and data modeling. The engineering work supports a virtual care platform serving patients, care navigators, and healthcare providers, with an emphasis on reliable, secure software systems and continuous product development.
What You'll Do

- Lead the development of complex frontend and mobile application features using React.js and React Native.
- Own software features throughout the development lifecycle, including technical architecture, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate product requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Improve application performance, system reliability, security, and overall production platform stability.
- Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior software engineers to strengthen engineering practices and code quality.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions, technical planning, and the engineering roadmap as the platform scales.
- Make technical decisions and solve complex engineering problems while balancing development speed, maintainability, and software quality.
- Follow secure development practices and established security protocols to protect sensitive patient and provider information.
