HR Operations Specialist

About the Role
This opportunity is for an experienced HR Operations Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. The role combines hands-on execution with process improvement, supporting the development of scalable HR operations while enhancing the employee experience across a distributed workforce.
This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day HR processes while contributing to long-term operational efficiency, system optimization, and organizational growth.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transitions, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain and optimize HRIS systems to ensure data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and reliable reporting.
- Ensure accurate employee records, audit readiness, and compliance reporting (including EEO and related filings).
- Support payroll operations by submitting updates, reviewing payroll accuracy, and resolving employee inquiries.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with compensation benchmarking activities.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on performance management, workplace concerns, and HR policies.
- Coordinate performance review cycles and maintain documentation within HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, including I-9 administration and workers’ compensation coordination.
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook content, and internal procedures.
- Partner with leadership to support engagement initiatives, employee experience improvements, and team culture development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, preferably in a technology, SaaS, or high-growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (such as PHR or SHRM) preferred.
- Strong experience with HRIS platforms such as BambooHR, UKG, Workday, or similar systems.
- Solid understanding of HR operations, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Ability to identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment.
