This opportunity is for a Technical Head of Brand to lead brand positioning, messaging, launch communications, content strategy, social presence, and overall market perception for a fast-growing developer-focused technology platform.
The role is responsible for shaping how the product is presented across websites, launch campaigns, social channels, competitive comparisons, and AI-driven discovery environments. This position works closely with founders and product leadership to create clear, differentiated, and technically credible messaging that resonates with developers and technical audiences.
The ideal candidate understands how developers evaluate tools, what builds trust within technical communities, and how to communicate complex products with clarity and authenticity. Success in this role requires strong writing ability, sharp positioning instincts, experience growing organic visibility, and the ability to execute quickly inside a fast-moving environment.
The position also involves managing content cadence, growing community engagement, improving discoverability across SEO and LLM-driven recommendation systems, and helping define how the brand evolves as the product scales.
Employment Type: Full-time
Annual Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year

What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end brand positioning and messaging strategy across all communication channels
- Define how the platform is represented across websites, launch campaigns, product announcements, and AI-driven discovery environments
- Write and publish launch copy, technical messaging, website content, social posts, and product communications for developer audiences
- Manage and grow social presence across platforms including LinkedIn and Twitter/X
- Build community engagement and establish a recognizable point of view within technical and developer ecosystems
- Conduct competitive analysis and convert findings into clear, differentiated messaging strategies
- Partner directly with founders and product leadership to align messaging with roadmap and go-to-market priorities
- Lead content planning and maintain publishing cadence across multiple channels
- Improve discoverability through SEO, AI recommendation systems, and LLM-driven visibility strategies
- Create messaging that is technically credible, direct, and free from generic marketing language
- Take ownership of emerging brand initiatives and undefined responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Help shape long-term brand evolution as the company scales
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience leading brand, positioning, or communications initiatives for developer-facing or technical products
- Strong understanding of how developers evaluate, adopt, and recommend tools
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to create concise, high-impact messaging
- Experience driving organic growth through search visibility, social reach, and content strategy
- Ability to communicate technical products in a clear, authentic, and developer-friendly way
- Experience collaborating directly with founders, executives, and product teams
- Comfort operating independently without rigid approval structures or heavily defined processes
- Strong understanding of competitive positioning and product differentiation
- Familiarity with AI-driven discovery trends and LLM-based recommendation ecosystems
- Experience managing social strategy and community engagement for technical audiences
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving startup environments with evolving responsibilities
Preferred Backgrounds
- Brand leadership experience at developer tools or infrastructure companies
- Marketing leadership experience at early-stage API or technical startups
- Experience owning positioning, messaging, social strategy, and brand communications end to end
- Background as a founding marketer or early-stage growth leader
