About the Role
This opportunity is for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the accounts receivable function and support operational excellence across invoicing, collections, cash application, customer payment resolution, and cash flow visibility.
This role oversees the full accounts receivable lifecycle while helping deliver a strong customer experience. The position requires leadership experience, deep knowledge of custom billing plans, strong collections expertise, and the ability to turn AR data into clear weekly and monthly reporting for finance leadership.

Estimated Hourly Pay: $45.67 - $52.88 per hour, based on a 40-hour workweek
What You’ll Do
AR Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Receivable team.
- Build a high-performance and accountable team culture.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations aligned with financial objectives.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing team development.
- Manage team capacity, including timecards, PTO, and workload distribution.
Billing, Collections & Customer Experience
- Oversee end-to-end accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
- Lead complex collections efforts with a strong focus on customer service and relationship management.
- Design and manage custom billing plans and payment arrangements based on client needs while protecting company cash flow.
- Serve as the escalation point for sensitive, complex, or high-value accounts.
- Work with customers to resolve billing issues, negotiate payment terms, and improve overall satisfaction.
Reporting & Metrics Ownership
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly accounts receivable reporting packages for finance leadership.
- Track and analyze Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Monitor aging reports and delinquency trends.
- Measure collection effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Track invoice accuracy and billing cycle times.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve cash flow and reduce risk.
- Build and refine dashboards to improve visibility into AR performance.
Process Improvement & Strategy
- Act as the subject matter expert for billing and collections processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Improve billing and collections processes while supporting a strong customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and applicable data privacy standards, including PII and PHI where relevant.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to align billing workflows with client lifecycle needs.
- Support forecasting and cash flow planning through accurate AR data and trend analysis.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time in accordance with contract terms and company policies.
- Monitor team performance against service-level expectations and departmental KPIs.
- Provide hands-on support during peak periods or staffing gaps to maintain operational continuity.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient issue resolution.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
- 5+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable leadership role.
- Proven experience managing custom billing plans and payment arrangements.
- Strong collections background with a customer service-focused approach.
- Experience owning and delivering AR reporting and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Experience with NetSuite and system implementation is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Ability to use technology to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States as a full-time employee.
