About the Role
This remote Tax & Compliance Coordinator position supports the preparation, review, and coordination of tax-related deliverables within a cost segregation department. The role assists with project documentation, technical tax tasks, quality control, deadline tracking, and internal communication to help ensure accurate and timely project completion.
The position also supports the preparation of Form 3115 filings, reviews financial and construction-related documentation, assists with basic tax research, and contributes to efficient project workflows and high-quality deliverables.

What You’ll Do
- Assist with the preparation of Form 3115 filings and related tax documentation.
- Support quality control reviews of draft client communications and project deliverables.
- Assist internal teams with tax-related questions and escalate more complex matters when appropriate.
- Review project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in identifying potential tax issues that may affect cost segregation studies.
- Help coordinate project timelines and track deadlines.
- Follow up on outsourced projects and outstanding deliverables.
- Maintain communication with internal teams regarding project status and progress.
- Perform basic tax research and support internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Assist with reconciliation and data validation activities.
- Support project workflows from initiation through completion.
- Follow established processes and contribute to workflow and efficiency improvements.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Two to four years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical and Industry Skills
- Basic accounting knowledge, preferably within cost segregation or a related field.
- Exposure to reviewing financial or construction-related documentation.
- Basic understanding of depreciation concepts and tax documentation, including Form 3115 preparation.
- Ability to assist with reconciliation and data validation tasks.
Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to prepare reports and professional business correspondence.
- Ability to respond to inquiries and escalate issues appropriately.
