About the Role
This opportunity is for a Staff Revenue Manager to support revenue strategy for short-term and mid-length stay rental property operators. The role focuses on developing, refining, and scaling revenue management frameworks that help property operators improve performance, understand market conditions, and make better pricing and strategy decisions.
This position is best suited for a hands-on revenue management practitioner with strong experience in short-term rental, vacation rental, or hospitality revenue strategy. The role requires ownership, clear communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build repeatable processes in a fast-moving remote environment.
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain revenue management strategies for an assigned portfolio.
- Align pricing and revenue strategies with market conditions and operator goals.
- Build and deliver weekly pacing reports with clear performance insights.
- Prepare monthly strategy recommendations that are practical, data-driven, and actionable.
- Provide platform training to help operators understand tools, data, and revenue opportunities.
- Deliver performance benchmarking and market context to support better decision-making.
- Help operators understand and act on their data.
- Contribute to team SOPs, playbooks, and best practices as the revenue management function grows.
- Build repeatable, scalable workflows for revenue management operations.
- Share practitioner insights that help improve product direction and revenue management education efforts.
- Support existing revenue management efforts while developing independent ownership of reports, recommendations, and strategic processes.
Qualifications
- Deep, hands-on experience managing revenue for short-term rental or vacation rental portfolios.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, revenue optimization, pacing, benchmarking, and market-based decision-making.
- Ability to present data-driven recommendations clearly and confidently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex revenue insights in a practical way.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven approach to work.
- Ability to build repeatable workflows, documentation, and scalable operating processes.
- Comfort working closely with a team and contributing to a growing department.
- Ability to work with ownership, initiative, and focus in a remote-first startup environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Genuine interest in technology and willingness to develop deep platform expertise.
- Strong interest in the vacation rental and short-term rental industry.
First 90 Days
- Learn the revenue management platform, tools, and internal systems in depth.
- Work closely with the onboarding function to understand how users are trained and supported.
- Observe current user training processes and build strong product fluency.
- Document revenue management approaches, early strategy ideas, and potential process improvements.
- Support existing revenue management work under senior guidance.
- Build practical experience through reporting, strategy support, and hands-on portfolio work.
- Transition into independent ownership of reporting, strategy recommendations, and process contributions once platform proficiency is established.
