Account Executive

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Account Executive to play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our business. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle — from proactive outbound prospecting and inbound lead management to technical discovery, pricing discussions, contract negotiation, deal closure, expansion, and renewal.
Given the technical nature of our products, strong technical aptitude is essential. You will be expected to understand complex solutions and clearly articulate their business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation
Hourly pay: $55.00 – $64.90 CAD per hour

Key Responsibilities
• Build, qualify, and close a pipeline of net-new logo opportunities, consistently meeting or exceeding quota targets.
• Generate approximately 30% of your pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting.
• Strategically engage Network Engineering leaders and technical end users, identifying their challenges and business needs.
• Develop strong, trust-based relationships through a consultative sales approach to improve deal velocity and win rates.
• Drive both new customer acquisition and revenue expansion within existing accounts.
• Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and pipeline reporting.
• Partner closely with Solutions Engineers to ensure technical alignment and clearly communicate product value and differentiation.
• Continuously refine your sales approach and contribute to improvements in the overall sales process.
• Build working knowledge of the partner ecosystem and competitive landscape.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in quota-carrying SaaS sales roles within fast-paced environments, with a strong track record of closing net-new business.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles from initial discovery through close.
• 1+ year of experience working in a startup or high-growth company environment.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership and execute independently.
• Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets and performance goals.
• Proven ability to manage both inbound leads and outbound prospecting effectively.
• Strong competitive drive and motivation to win.
• High technical aptitude and the ability to translate complex, technical products into clear business value.
• Background in networking, network engineering, network automation, or prior experience as a sales engineer is a strong asset.
