About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Software Engineer who will help build a new trading product from the ground up. The role focuses on creating high-performance, low-latency systems that connect directly to blockchain transaction infrastructure and support real-time trading workflows.

You will work on core backend and systems components, including order routing, execution, market data, position management, security, and transaction processing. This is a high-ownership role where you will make meaningful architectural decisions, collaborate closely with product and infrastructure teams, and help shape a 0-to-1 product in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build core systems for a new trading product from the ground up
• Develop low-latency, high-reliability services that interact directly with blockchain transaction and block-building pipelines
• Own critical infrastructure supporting order routing, execution, real-time market data, and position management
• Implement security throughout the stack, including transaction signing and user data protection
• Collaborate closely with product and infrastructure teams to ship quickly and iterate based on real user feedback
• Make significant architectural decisions as an early member of the engineering team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Meaningful experience working with distributed systems
• Strong systems programming skills
• Experience with Rust is preferred, though deep experience with C, C++, Go, or similar systems languages is also relevant
• Proven track record of building reliable, low-latency production systems
• Security-first engineering mindset with strong awareness of attack surfaces, key management, and failure modes
• Comfort working with high autonomy and incomplete information in a 0-to-1 product environment

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Solana runtime behavior and transaction lifecycle
• Understanding of market microstructure concepts such as MEV, block building, and execution quality
• Experience with trading systems or exchange infrastructure
• Experience with DeFi protocol engineering
• Experience with fintech backend systems, including payments, custody, or execution
• Experience with high-frequency or other low-latency systems
• Background in security engineering
