About the Role
The SEO Innovation Specialist will bring several years of hands-on SEO experience, with particular strength in WordPress or similar content management systems and an interest in using AI tools to improve and scale SEO efforts.
This role works closely with a Senior SEO Specialist to explore and implement practical uses of AI across technical SEO and content-focused initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, execute, and manage SEO strategies designed to increase organic traffic, improve search rankings, and drive conversions.
- Conduct keyword research, perform on-page optimization, complete technical SEO audits, and analyze competitors.
- Optimize and publish website content using WordPress or other content management systems.
- Collaborate with content and development teams to implement SEO best practices and improve website performance.
- Use AI-powered tools for keyword research, content optimization, and SEO performance analysis, including tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, and SurferSEO.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Stay current with developments in SEO and artificial intelligence, search engine algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency or in-house environment.
- Proven experience working with WordPress or another major content management system.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-powered tools to support SEO strategies and initiatives.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and off-page SEO principles.
- Proficiency with standard SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with schema markup, website migrations, or international SEO.
- Basic familiarity with HTML and CSS.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across content, design, and development.
