Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist will take ownership of organic social media, content marketing, SEO-focused content, and digital public relations. This role is designed for an early-career marketer ready to expand their responsibilities while helping strengthen brand visibility, audience engagement, organic search performance, and media reach.
The position combines hands-on content creation with social media management, SEO, AEO/GEO optimization, media outreach, performance reporting, and cross-functional campaign support. The successful candidate will help build a consistent presence across LinkedIn and emerging platforms while developing content that performs across traditional search and AI-powered answer engines.
What You’ll Do
- Own and expand the organic social media presence on LinkedIn and emerging platforms while maintaining a creative, consistent content calendar in close coordination with Brand and Design.
- Write, edit, and optimize content for blogs, landing pages, and solution overviews using keyword research, search intent, and performance data to improve organic discoverability.
- Optimize content for both traditional search engines and AI-powered answer engines through AEO and GEO practices, including platforms such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Lead day-to-day digital PR activities, including pitching media outlets, arranging podcast guest appearances, pursuing contributed byline opportunities, and developing relationships with relevant press and podcast contacts.
- Create marketing content across multiple formats, including product guides, sales materials, videos, web pages, social content, and other digital assets.
- Collaborate across teams to support product launches and marketing campaigns designed to increase awareness and generate demand.
- Monitor organic marketing performance and prepare monthly reporting covering search rankings, audience engagement, media placements, podcast appearances, and related performance indicators.
- Translate performance findings into practical recommendations for future content, social media activity, SEO initiatives, and outreach efforts.
- Work closely with Marketing Communications leadership to ensure content consistently reflects established brand voice and current business priorities.
- Partner with Digital Marketing and Growth leadership to refine SEO direction, identify content opportunities, and address evolving content requirements.
- Stay current with emerging digital channels, search behavior, social media developments, and content formats.
- Test new platforms and formats to identify opportunities for greater brand visibility as social media and search environments continue to evolve.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in social media, content marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.
- Experience or exposure across social media, writing, content development, and outreach responsibilities; broad experience across several areas is valued over deep specialization in only one.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create effective content for social media, blogs, websites, and other marketing formats.
- Ability to work from content briefs and follow keyword, SEO, and search-intent guidelines.
- Basic working knowledge of SEO, including search intent and on-page optimization fundamentals.
- Curiosity about or experience with improving content discoverability through AI answer engines using AEO and GEO approaches.
- Ability to understand basic marketing performance metrics, apply feedback, and use results to improve future work.
- Some experience with direct media or press outreach, or a demonstrated willingness to take initiative in building those skills.
- Podcast and guest-booking outreach experience is a plus but is not required.
- Experience using LinkedIn for marketing or content distribution, along with a willingness to learn and test additional platforms.
- Basic familiarity with content management systems or the ability to quickly learn new publishing tools.
- Regular experience using AI tools to support drafting and content creation while maintaining careful attention to accuracy and quality.
- Strong collaboration skills, openness to coaching and feedback, and motivation to grow into broader content marketing and digital PR responsibilities.
