About the Role
The Senior Integration Engineer will lead the technical integration of a higher education payments platform with client IT systems. As the platform expands to universities nationwide, this role will be responsible for delivering reliable, scalable integrations that support institutional partners and their students.
This position oversees the technical aspects of the integration process, including system configuration, network connectivity, data flows, scripting, and troubleshooting. The Senior Integration Engineer will work closely with client IT teams as well as internal Customer Success and Engineering teams to support successful implementations and establish scalable integration processes for future growth.
What You’ll Do
- Project manage the technical aspects of each client implementation in collaboration with the client and internal Customer Success and Engineering teams.
- Meet regularly with client IT departments to oversee technical setup, including networking and data import and export processes.
- Configure all required network connectivity between the platform and client systems, including initial DNS configuration, SFTP connections, and database connectivity when applicable.
- Modify and install SQL scripts used to export relevant information from partner schools' student information systems.
- Implement PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate data transfers.
- Facilitate Ellucian Ethos API access when required.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementations and after launch.
- Document integration processes, configurations, and technical solutions to support repeatable and scalable growth.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in system integration, SaaS implementation, or IT consulting.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Advanced knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Advanced knowledge of DNS, networking, and SFTP protocols.

- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proven success communicating and collaborating with Product, Design, Engineering, and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at an early-stage startup.
- Experience in FinTech and/or EdTech.
- Experience working with APIs, including making API calls and interpreting API responses.
- Familiarity with higher education student information systems such as Banner, Colleague, Empower, Jenzabar, and PowerCampus.
