About the Role
This opportunity is for a Head of Marketing to lead and evolve an integrated marketing function, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The role owns overall marketing strategy, annual planning, budgeting, demand generation, brand positioning, digital marketing, sales enablement, product and service marketing, performance measurement, and team development, with a focus on measurable business growth.
The position works closely with Sales, Operations, Product, Recruiting, and executive leadership to build scalable, data-driven, AI-enabled marketing capabilities. Key areas include SEO, paid media, email marketing, marketing automation, public relations, thought leadership, account-based marketing, go-to-market strategy, market research, competitive analysis, CRM platforms, and marketing analytics.
What You'll Do
Marketing Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy in alignment with company growth objectives.
- Modernize the marketing function through AI-enabled capabilities, including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), automation, and related technologies.
- Lead annual marketing planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team while identifying opportunities to expand marketing capabilities.
- Establish marketing KPIs and regularly communicate performance and ROI to executive leadership.
- Serve as the marketing subject matter expert and strategic advisor to executive stakeholders.
- Strengthen brand positioning across service lines and target markets.
- Maintain consistency in messaging, visual identity, and customer experience across marketing channels.
- Oversee corporate communications, thought leadership, public relations, and executive visibility initiatives.
- Develop compelling content that demonstrates expertise and differentiates services in the marketplace.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and support revenue growth.
- Optimize digital marketing channels including the website, SEO, paid media, email marketing, webinars, social media, and marketing automation.
- Improve website performance, conversion rates, and customer engagement.
- Use analytics to continuously optimize campaign performance and marketing investment.
- Partner closely with Business Development leadership to support pipeline generation and client acquisition.
- Develop sales collateral, presentations, case studies, proposal content, and customer success stories.
- Support industry conferences, trade shows, webinars, sponsorships, and client events.
- Measure and optimize ROI for conferences, trade shows, webinars, sponsorships, and client events.
- Create and implement account-based marketing initiatives for strategic target clients.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new services, technology offerings, and business initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to clearly communicate value propositions across service lines.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading B2B marketing for professional services, legal services, technology, SaaS, healthcare, financial services, or another consultative industry.
- Proven success developing demand generation strategies that drive measurable business growth.
- Experience leading brand strategy, digital marketing, content marketing, and marketing communications.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and external agency relationships.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of marketing analytics, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools.
- Ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across brand, demand generation, digital marketing, communications, sales enablement, and product or service marketing.
- Strong capability in performance measurement, marketing ROI analysis, and data-driven optimization.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Hands-on leadership ability with a willingness to execute directly while building scalable marketing processes.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing to law firms, corporate legal departments, insurance carriers, or government agencies.
- Experience supporting field sales or business development organizations.
- Expertise building a modern, AI-enabled marketing technology stack.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEM platforms, and marketing automation technologies.
- Experience leading organizational growth, rebranding, or digital transformation initiatives.
