About the Role
This opportunity is for a People Operations Manager who will support the People and Culture function by building a strong employee experience and keeping core HR operations accurate, compliant, and reliable. The role combines culture-building, employee support, onboarding, offboarding, HR administration, payroll review, benefits coordination, and systems accuracy in a remote work environment.
The successful candidate will help design employee experience programs, support staff questions and issues, maintain clean HR data, and partner with Finance, Legal, benefits providers, and internal stakeholders on processes connected to People Operations. This position is well suited for an early- to mid-career HR professional who can move between creative program-building and precise administrative execution.
What You'll Do
Build and protect culture- Help design and run employee experience moments, including onboarding, milestones, recognition, and everyday rituals that help employees feel proud of their workplace.
- Bring fresh and practical ideas to talent attraction, employee engagement, and retention, then help turn the strongest ideas into real People programs.
- Serve as a trusted and approachable point of contact for staff by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, resolving concerns with care, and escalating matters when appropriate.
- Own the administrative execution of onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, secure document storage, I-9 completion, background checks, and accurate system entry.
- Review payroll for hourly employees and manage off-cycle and supplemental payment requests.
- Partner with benefits providers to help answer staff questions about healthcare and other benefits.
- Protect data integrity and accuracy across People Operations projects while managing time and priorities independently.
- Build strong working partnerships with key stakeholders, including Finance and Legal, on processes that touch People Operations.
- Take on additional People Operations responsibilities as the team and organization grow.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a human resources role; internship experience may be considered.
- Experience supporting an employee population, ideally in a fast-growing environment.
- Experience working across employee-facing HR support, HR administration, onboarding, offboarding, systems accuracy, and People Operations processes.
Required Skills
- Ability to take initiative, identify what needs to be done, and move work forward without waiting for step-by-step direction.
- Strong ability to balance big-picture, creative thinking with meticulous, detail-oriented HR execution.
- Tech-savvy working style with the ability to quickly learn new software, including G-Suite, HRIS, and ATS platforms.
- Solid Excel skills for HR operations, data accuracy, tracking, and administrative support.
- Ability to support employees with care, professionalism, sound judgment, and appropriate escalation when needed.
- Ability to manage priorities independently while protecting accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
- Genuine passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community.
