Warehouse Associate

Pay: $20 - $22/hour

Job summary

You’ll support warehouse and freight operations by receiving, loading, unloading, inspecting, documenting, storing, and preparing cargo while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety, and security standards.

Daily responsibilities

• Receive, load, and unload cargo from trucks safely and efficiently.
• Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, and overages and report findings to management.
• Verify paperwork for accuracy before releasing products.
• Update and verify inbound and outbound shipment information in the warehouse management system.
• Record shipment details such as weight, dimensions, and required photographs.
• Prepare and palletize cargo for storage or shipment.
• Print labels and complete required data entry.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
• Temporarily store and repackage products according to operating requirements.
• Maintain organized warehouse floor space.
• Follow security procedures and report irregularities.
• Follow dangerous goods, HAZMAT, safety, and standard operating procedures.
• Complete required training on schedule.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Experience and qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience required.
• Freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required, or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience using a warehouse management system and RF scanner.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work safely and solve operational problems as they arise.
• Flexibility to work weekends or holidays when required by operations.

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move packages weighing more than 50 pounds using equipment or assistance from another person.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb, push, and pull for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to work in changing temperatures and environments with exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and similar elements.
