About the Role
This opportunity is for a Senior Data Analyst who will lead client-facing data analytics and data science projects from initial scoping and onboarding through final delivery. The role combines hands-on analysis with project leadership, deep data investigation, visualization, data integration, ETL development, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
The position requires strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern analytics technologies, including Tableau, Power BI, Looker, cloud data warehouses, and ETL platforms. The Senior Data Analyst will also research emerging technologies and analytical capabilities, mentor developing team members, and help strengthen data analytics practices and technical expertise.
What You'll Do
- Complete data analytics and data science projects for clients, delivering practical insights and analytical solutions.
- Lead client projects from start to finish, including scoping, onboarding, execution, and delivery.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis and deep data investigations to answer complex analytical questions.
- Develop data visualizations that make analytical findings clear and actionable.
- Support data integration initiatives across analytical systems and data sources.
- Develop ETL processes that support analytics and data workflows.
- Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to relevant client projects.
- Research emerging technologies, tools, and skill sets that can expand analytical capabilities.
- Serve as a player-coach by working alongside other team members while teaching junior professionals data analytics best practices and techniques.
- Help train and develop new team members in both client engagement processes and data analytics skills when needed.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Skills
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and analytical workflows.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for data visualization and business intelligence.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team to develop solutions for clients.
- Ability to lead team members as a player-coach, completing projects alongside colleagues while teaching junior team members best practices and analytical techniques.
- Ability to process and analyze data objectively and efficiently.
- Strong curiosity about emerging data tools and evolving data analytics and data science strategies.
- Familiarity with modern data stack technologies, including ETL tools such as Stitch, Rivery, and Fivetran; data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, and Snowflake; and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with R or Python.
