About the Role
This opportunity is for a Financial Analyst, FP&A responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis across business functions. The position supports the Strategic Finance Manager by managing recurring FP&A processes, developing financial models, evaluating budget variances, and translating operational performance into reliable financial information for management decisions.
The role combines hands-on financial analysis with cross-functional business partnering, financial close support, and improvements to reporting and planning workflows. Key responsibilities include managing components of the annual budgeting and in-year reforecasting cycles, connecting operational KPIs to financial statements, coordinating accruals, and developing automated reporting processes using financial planning software, business intelligence tools, or AI-enabled solutions. This is an individual contributor position with a potential growth path to Senior Analyst.
What You'll Do
- Manage assigned components of the budgeting and in-year reforecasting processes, including financial data collection, financial modeling, forecast development, and variance analysis.
- Prepare recurring financial analyses and reports that support financial planning, business performance monitoring, and operational decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models that translate business assumptions, operational drivers, and strategic plans into financial forecasts.
- Analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify material variances, and explain underlying financial and operational drivers.
- Support the financial close process by preparing source materials and coordinating accurate, timely accruals with cross-functional partners.
- Evaluate relationships between operational KPIs, revenue and expense drivers, and the three primary financial statements.
- Partner with Operations and other business functions to gather financial inputs, validate assumptions, and communicate performance insights.
- Provide the Strategic Finance Manager with recurring financial analysis, planning support, reporting, and information needed for strategic financial decisions.
- Build, improve, and automate recurring financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Explore and apply AI tools, FP&A software, and other automation solutions to streamline financial analysis and reporting processes.
- Communicate financial results, forecast changes, and variance explanations to stakeholders with varying levels of financial expertise.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support operational planning and business decisions as needed.
