About the Role
A Senior Manager, Marketplace & Partnerships is needed to lead the organization’s partner ecosystem across its marketplace and broader partnership programs. This hands-on individual contributor role reports to the Head of Marketing and works closely with the Head of Community to align partner strategy, launches, and ongoing partner initiatives with marketplace adoption and community growth.
You will own the marketplace and partnerships growth engine from end to end, including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating with, onboarding, and launching partners.
The partner ecosystem includes three primary categories:
- Application partners: Vendors that build applications on the organization’s platform.
- Integration partners: Partners that connect their products through APIs.
- Solution partners: Providers of DPC-adjacent services, such as marketing, legal, and accounting support.

Compensation: $105,000 - $161,000 per year
What You’ll Do
- Source and recruit strategic marketplace partners.
- Build and maintain a prioritized list of prospective partners.
- Conduct outbound outreach to decision-makers.
- Develop a clear perspective on which partner categories create the most marketplace value.
- Manage inbound partner interest by triaging inquiries, conducting discovery conversations, evaluating fit, and communicating clear decisions to proceed, pause, or decline.
- Determine the right partnership path for each organization, including application, integration, or solution partnerships.
- Guide prospective partners through the technical and commercial implications of each partnership model.
- Bring in Product or Engineering stakeholders when technical input is needed.
- Lead negotiations and close partner agreements.
- Manage discussions related to pricing and revenue models, including revenue sharing, transaction fees, subscriptions, and referral arrangements.
- Define launch-readiness criteria for each partner.
- Lead partner onboarding and launches.
- Coordinate cross-functional readiness across Product, Support, Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
- For technical partners, align stakeholders on scope, milestones, and rollout plans from beta or staging environments through production.
- Build repeatable partnership processes, including standard operating procedures, playbooks, and lightweight reporting.
- Create visibility into partnership activity and program performance for leadership.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in marketplace partnerships, platform partnerships, strategic partnerships, business development, sales engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working at the intersection of product teams and customers is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate credibly about APIs, integrations, and product systems.
- Coding experience is not required.
- Strong negotiation skills and a demonstrated record of closing partnership or platform agreements.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, and go-to-market teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create structure, documentation, and repeatable processes while building a program.
- Healthcare or health-tech experience is preferred.
- Experience with SaaS marketplaces, platform ecosystems, or adjacent regulated industries, such as fintech, is also relevant.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing API or integration partnerships from staging or beta environments through production.
- Familiarity with Direct Primary Care or primary care workflows.
- Experience building a partner program from the ground up.
- Experience using AI tools to create or improve business processes.
