Department: Brand Marketing
Compensation: $34.81 - $48.08 per hour
About the Role
This opportunity is for a Motion Designer who will help define how a brand moves across animation, video, product UI, marketing campaigns, web experiences, and social content. The role works closely with brand designers, product teams, growth teams, project stakeholders, and internal partners to turn complex ideas into clear, polished visual stories.
The Motion Designer will be the dedicated motion resource for the creative team, translating concepts, storyboards, and visual direction into high-quality animated assets. This includes long-form product videos, animated campaign materials, website animations, product UI motion, instructional content, and fast-turnaround social cuts.
The role requires strong creative judgment, technical motion expertise, clear communication, and the ability to move quickly while protecting brand consistency across many formats and channels.
What You’ll Do
- Own motion design execution across animation, video, product UI, web experiences, marketing campaigns, and social content.
- Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visual stories that are polished, brand-consistent, and easy to understand.
- Develop motion work that can travel across multiple formats, platforms, and surfaces while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
- Create long-form product videos, animated campaign assets, website animations, product UI motion, and fast-turnaround social content.
- Produce product demos, instructional videos, campaign videos, and social cuts that simplify complex SaaS workflows through motion graphics and visual storytelling.
- Adapt video and motion assets so they feel native to each platform while preserving brand integrity.
- Design UI and product animations for web experiences, including micro-interactions, transitions, and storytelling moments.
- Use motion design tools and workflows such as Figma and Lottie where appropriate for web-based animation and product storytelling.
- Join the creative process early by contributing to storyboards, visual explorations, and concept development from a motion design perspective.
- Identify which creative ideas will translate well into animation and clearly flag ideas that may not work effectively in motion.
- Partner with internal teams to align creative output with marketing goals, client needs, campaign priorities, product launches, and web experiences.
- Help maintain and improve motion standards so deliverables remain consistent across the brand ecosystem.
- Manage assigned projects, timelines, workload, priorities, and progress updates with clear communication.
- Stay current on motion design trends, social platform formats, AI-first creative tools, emerging motion workflows, and industry best practices.

- Fluency with Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of motion principles, pacing, timing, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to make intentional creative choices that support clarity, message, and user understanding, not only visual style.
- Experience breaking down complex SaaS products, workflows, or technical concepts into clear and engaging motion content.
- Familiarity with front-end web technologies and how motion is integrated into live web environments.
- Proven experience creating Lottie animations optimized for web performance.
- Experience documenting workflows, tools, processes, and best practices for other team members.
- Comfortable participating in creative conversations from brief through final delivery.
- Ability to ask strong clarifying questions, lead when needed, support when appropriate, handle feedback well, and manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong collaboration skills, clear communication, and the ability to present creative work with confidence.
- Ability to work well with brand, product, growth, marketing, project stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong craft, attention to detail, and the agility to produce high-quality creative work in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working on-site for selected video projects when needed.
- Willingness to travel approximately 5% for seasonal events.
