About the Role
This remote opportunity is for an Enrollment Specialist who will serve as the first point of contact for new patient referrals and guide prospective participants through the enrollment process for chronic care management and remote patient monitoring programs.
The role supports patient enrollment across various states in partnership with cardiology, internal medicine, primary care, and family medicine physician groups, as well as healthcare systems. The Enrollment Specialist will help patients understand available care programs, complete all required enrollment steps, and receive the information and support needed for a seamless experience.
Comprehensive training will be provided to support a thorough understanding of the programs, enrollment procedures, and patient care process. Continued professional development and career advancement opportunities are also available.
What You’ll Do
- Make outbound calls to identified patients and provide information about remote patient monitoring and chronic care management programs.
- Explain program benefits, patient financial responsibility, consent requirements, device shipment procedures, and enrollment steps.
- Obtain patient consent and complete enrollment into the appropriate care management program or programs.
- Ensure a seamless, complete, and effective enrollment experience for prospective patients.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for pending enrollees and respond to enrollment-related calls.
- Manage a high-volume open caseload until each patient’s enrollment process is complete.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for prospective patients and caregivers.
- Communicate with patients professionally, patiently, and empathetically.
- Address questions, overcome objections, and help resolve issues that may prevent enrollment.
- Navigate multiple systems and online portals to enter and maintain accurate patient enrollment information.
- Process device shipment information when applicable.
- Achieve established monthly goals for new patient enrollments.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support patient care and departmental objectives.
- Take on additional duties as assigned as the role and responsibilities continue to evolve.
Qualifications
- Fewer than five years of experience in a high-volume inbound and outbound call environment.
- Experience working in a high-volume inbound and outbound call environment is required.
- Previous patient enrollment or medical sales experience is preferred.
- Comfort communicating with patients by phone and explaining detailed program information.
- Ability to overcome objections and apply effective problem-solving skills.
- Professional composure, patience, and empathy when interacting with patients and caregivers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate enrollment records.
- Metrics-driven approach with the ability to work toward monthly enrollment goals.
- Excellent time-management and caseload-management skills.
- High level of computer literacy and confidence working across multiple systems and portals.
- Engaging and personable communication style with a genuine desire to connect with patients.
- Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and openness to changing or evolving responsibilities.
