Application Support Specialist

Compensation: $26.44–$36.06 per hour ($55,000–$75,000 per year)
About the Role
The Support Specialist provides day-to-day application support to ensure reliable performance, high user satisfaction, and timely issue resolution. This role works directly with users to understand reported issues and collaborates with internal teams to troubleshoot problems, implement solutions, and improve overall application functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve application-related issues, including software bugs, performance concerns, and usability questions.
- Communicate directly with users to gather details, explain solutions, and provide clear status updates.
- Document application configurations, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures in internal knowledge bases.
- Log, track, and manage incidents using a ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to test bug fixes, enhancements, and new releases before deployment.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service while managing multiple support requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in application support or a similar customer-facing support role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to normally work between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time.
