About the Role
This opportunity is for a Business Analyst focused on systems process analysis and design within a technical delivery environment. The role involves researching and assessing business and system needs, gathering information from client users, defining problems, evaluating potential solutions, and supporting the integration of new processes with existing workflows.
The Business Analyst will also help drive process change, communicate updates to affected teams, and support quality improvement efforts across technical initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Perform systems process analysis and design under direct supervision.
- Plan and carry out research, design assessment, development, integration, and other assignments within a defined technical area.
- Analyze problems to identify appropriate resolutions.
- Gather information from client users to clearly define business and system-related problems.
- Where feasible, design systems of computer programs and procedures to address identified problems.
- Support process change by integrating new processes with existing workflows and procedures.
- Clearly communicate process changes to teams and stakeholders affected by those changes.
- Recommend and facilitate quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of technical experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation in Agile delivery environments.
- Proficiency with collaboration and workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience using data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with process modeling techniques and notation, including BPMN or workflow diagramming using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
- Experience supporting federal government clients or contracts.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are preferred.
