Reports To: Senior Manager of Support & Dispatch Operations
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Must be available to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays, during PST hours.
Pay: $17.00–$23.00 per hour
Overview
The Dispatcher supports day-to-day transportation operations in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and serves as a primary point of contact for drivers, riders, and customers. This position requires consistent reliability, strong attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive issues at the same time.
Dispatchers provide real-time support by phone, text, and chat while continuously monitoring scheduled and active rides. The role requires accurate documentation, quick decision-making, and close attention to operational standards to help ensure rides are completed safely and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Accurately collect, verify, and document ride, driver, and rider information.
- Respond promptly to driver, rider, and customer inquiries by phone, text, and chat.
- Monitor scheduled and active rides to help ensure timely pickups and successful completion.
- Provide real-time support to drivers during trips, including resolving delays, routing issues, cancellations, and service disruptions.
- Quickly identify operational issues, take ownership of the resolution, and follow through until the issue is fully addressed.
- Escalate issues appropriately and promptly in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, notes, and status updates to support continuity across shifts.
- Identify recurring operational issues and contribute ideas and recommendations for process improvement.
- Maintain professionalism, focus, urgency, and consistency while working in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of dispatch experience.
- Proven reliability, strong attendance, and the ability to consistently work assigned shifts.
- Availability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays, during PST hours.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective under pressure.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Experience with medical terminology is a plus but is not required; training will be provided.
