Recruiter
Remote (United States)
Employment type: Full-time
Work location: Remote (United States)
Compensation: ~ $28.85-$38.46/hour
Position summary
This is a senior recruiter role for someone who wins by opening doors. You will identify, engage, and earn trust with high-performing, passive leaders through consistent, thoughtful outreach.
You will be supported by a team, but you own the hunt. Results come from proactive market engagement and disciplined follow-up over longer timelines.
Who this is a fit for
- You have repeatedly filled senior leadership roles ($160K+ compensation) by going into the market and engaging the right people.
- You care about relevance, timing, and message quality, not mass outreach.
- You follow up professionally and stay present without being transactional.
- You want to spend your time originating talent and advising candidates, with operational support behind you.
What you’ll do
- Build candidate pipelines through targeted, creative outreach to passive senior leaders (email, phone, LinkedIn).
- Research, map, and pursue specific individuals, not generic personas.
- Write outreach that earns attention and trust, not volume replies.
- Run long-cycle pursuit through consistent follow-up and re-engagement.
- Start confidential career conversations with people who were not planning to move.
- Lead deep, consultative “get to know you” conversations to uncover motivators, misalignment, and readiness.
- Coach candidates through interview strategy, preparation, negotiation, and transition.
- Present candidates to clients with a clear narrative around impact, leadership, and long-term fit.
How success happens in this role
- Proactive outbound sourcing and relationship building, not inbound applicant processing.
- Strong judgment, persistence, and professionalism in follow-up.
- Candidate advisory work that improves outcomes for both the candidate and the client.
What you’ll bring
Core skills
- Cold outreach to passive, senior-level talent (email, phone, LinkedIn).
- Market mapping and targeted pursuit strategy.
- Executive interview prep and compensation negotiation.
- Strategic candidate positioning and clear storytelling.
- ATS/CRM proficiency (Crelate preferred).
- Clear, persuasive written communication.
Personal strengths
- Tenacity - you follow up with intention and discipline.
- Curiosity - you dig for alignment beneath surface interest.
- High EQ - you earn trust with people who did not ask to be recruited.
- Strategic thinking - you know when to press, pause, or reframe.
- Accountability - you own outcomes, not just activity.
Requirements
- Based in the United States.
- Reliable high-speed internet.
About the company
- Consultative recruiting focused on high-impact, long-term matches.
- Remote-first team collaborating across the U.S.
- Values humility, initiative, emotional intelligence, and excellence.
