Salary: $26.45 - $32.70 per hour ($55,000 - $68,000 per year)

About the Role

The Finance Operations Analyst will report to the Finance Reporting Manager and play a key role in analyzing and improving financial operations across the organization. This position focuses on budgeting, monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and operational process improvement within the Finance department.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with financial data across multiple entities. This role requires strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Finance department processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data, reports, and projections.
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and compliance activities.
• Support review of monthly trial balances, reconciliations, and account trends prior to financial reporting.
• Assist with audits and year-end financial activities as needed.
• Provide financial analysis and forecasts to support annual budget preparation.
• Collaborate with programmatic and operational teams to improve Finance department workflows.
• Support day-to-day Finance operations, including data analysis, reporting, and cross-department communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience working in an accounting or finance environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Prior experience working in a nonprofit organization.
