An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Python Technical Architect to lead technical product initiatives and help drive the development of innovative software solutions. The position focuses on designing, building, and enhancing sophisticated SaaS products while providing architectural guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on engineering support. The successful candidate will play a key role in software architecture, technical planning, code quality, and product delivery.

This is a fully remote position based in the United States.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $125,000 - $170,000 per year

What You'll Do

• Translate complex functional, technical, and business requirements into efficient, scalable, and maintainable software architectures.
• Design software solutions while balancing technical requirements, timelines, and budget considerations.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and provide guidance on the technical feasibility of proposed design solutions.
• Lead technical planning, architecture design, and implementation efforts across product initiatives.
• Provide technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle, from initial discovery and scoping through deployment and ongoing enhancements.
• Participate in hands-on software development and feature implementation when needed.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established engineering best practices.
• Contribute technical expertise during client meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
• Define, promote, and enforce software quality standards and development processes.
• Provide leadership and strategic guidance regarding emerging technologies, architectural approaches, and development methodologies.
• Mentor team members and deliver internal training sessions in areas of technical specialization.
• Work effectively within agile, cross-functional teams and proactively contribute technical recommendations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 5+ years of hands-on production experience with Python.
• 5+ years of experience working with the Django framework.
• Experience designing and developing SaaS products.
• Experience implementing and maintaining decoupled architectures.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
• Experience building, securing, and integrating high-performance APIs.
• Strong knowledge of the AWS ecosystem and cloud-based application development.
• Experience building microservices architectures using AWS technologies.
• Solid understanding of application security principles and performance optimization techniques.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture concepts, patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to write scalable, reusable, maintainable, testable, and efficient code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with NoSQL database technologies.
• Familiarity with Lucene-based search platforms such as Apache Solr or Elasticsearch.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with additional programming languages beyond Python and JavaScript.
