About the Role
This opportunity is for a Senior Copywriter with strong conceptual thinking, excellent writing ability, and experience in pharmaceutical advertising. The role combines hands-on copy development with creative concepting, brand consistency, client communication, and quality oversight across a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
This position may be performed remotely within the United States. The listed salary range reflects expected base compensation for the New York City metropolitan area. Compensation for candidates outside that area may be adjusted based on the employee’s primary work location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
What You’ll Do
- Develop copy, creative concepts, tactics, and campaign ideas.
- Generate strong ideas and apply a clear understanding of what makes creative work effective.
- Maintain consistency across copy, creative work, brand guidelines, and strategy.
- Serve as a client contact for assigned brands and build credibility through advanced thinking and clear communication.
- Help establish and maintain high production standards for all creative assets.
- Support the efficient execution of creative concepts based on assigned account responsibilities or management direction.
- Meet established deadlines and provide reasonable notice when special circumstances require a deadline extension.
- Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, requirements, and creative standards to copywriting work.
- Balance supervisory and executional responsibilities within the creative process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmaceutical advertising environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced conceptual and copywriting ability.
- Superior copywriting skills and strong creative concepting ability.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to multitask, manage stressful situations, and work under deadline pressure.
- Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of AI tools.
- Ability to prioritize workflow and redirect agency projects when deadlines or priorities change.
