- Build and maintain the regulatory reporting framework, including reporting calendars, data-sourcing workflows, reconciliation procedures, and internal controls designed to support accuracy and completeness.
- Interpret and apply reporting instructions issued by the FFIEC, OCC, FDIC, and Federal Reserve.
- Ensure the proper classification and reporting of buy now, pay later assets, liabilities, income, and capital within applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor changes to regulatory reporting requirements and implement new or revised schedules, reporting thresholds, interpretive guidance, and related requirements.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams to source data, resolve reporting questions, and maintain consistency between regulatory filings and U.S. GAAP financial statements.
- Support regulatory examinations and audits by preparing documentation, responding to examiner inquiries involving Call Report data, and remediating findings when needed.
- Partner with external auditors and consultants on regulatory reporting matters, including agreed-upon procedures and attestation engagements.
- Develop and maintain documentation covering regulatory reporting policies, procedures, and methodologies to support SOX compliance and institutional knowledge.
- Use technology and automation to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of regulatory reporting processes.
- Champion the use of artificial intelligence and modern tools to streamline data aggregation, validation, and submission workflows.
- Provide regulatory reporting expertise to leadership regarding the financial reporting implications of new products, strategic initiatives, and changes to banking operations.
