Material Handler

Pay: $22.08/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Role overview

You’ll support production operations by packaging, handling, transporting, staging, and delivering materials while safely operating forklifts and assisting with machine-related production needs.

What you’ll do

• Perform material handling tasks safely and identify hazards in the production environment.
• Follow job safety analyses, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts safely.
• Unload trucks with incoming materials.
• Put away newly tagged inventory and restocked materials in the correct locations.
• Tip and deliver stock to machines as requested.
• Deliver production-related items such as spacers, scrap boxes, and skids.
• Tare skids for use.
• Respond to machine lights in a timely manner.
• Package materials according to customer specifications, QA alerts, and posted best practices.
• Assist machine operators with assigned tasks as needed.
• Complete machine-specific or situational duties assigned by the foreman.

What you’ll need

• Minimum 1 year of similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts preferred.
• Banding equipment experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications, posted notices, and QA alerts.
• Ability to follow safety, attendance, dress code, and company procedures.
