Department: Customer Success
Employment Type: Full Time
Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
About the Role
This Data Specialist position is responsible for the technical data operations that support complex litigation matters throughout the full data lifecycle. The role manages data collection, ingestion, processing, production, validation, and quality control while working closely with Client Services, Product, and Engineering teams.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced eDiscovery professional with hands-on knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model lifecycle, strong platform expertise, and the judgment to distinguish routine technical issues from problems that may require further investigation.
What You’ll Do
- Manage data operations: Oversee ingestion, processing, and production workflows across active cases, and validate every output before it reaches the client.
- Maintain quality control: Apply consistent and documented quality-control standards across all data outputs, record findings, and resolve issues before they reach clients or Client Services teams.
- Resolve complex data issues: Diagnose and address collection anomalies, processing failures, metadata errors, and disputes involving production formats.
- Advise on data strategy: Help clients structure data workflows, processing specifications, and review protocols to improve efficiency and defensibility.
- Coordinate data handoffs: Receive data from Client Services teams, document chain of custody, and confirm that all requirements have been captured before work begins.
- Manage intake: Oversee incoming work through a dedicated queue and communicate proactively regarding capacity, timelines, and project status.
- Partner with Product and Engineering: Identify recurring data-layer issues, document edge cases, participate in product testing, and provide timely feedback that supports platform improvements.
- Develop documentation: Create and maintain processing guides, quality-control checklists, and workflow standards that can scale as the client base grows.
