Status: Full Time
Department: Marketing
Compensation:$83,000–$105,000 per year
About the Role
This Visual Designer position supports a platform focused on employee engagement, workplace recognition, and the development of organizational cultures where people can grow and succeed together.
The role is being added during an active brand refresh and the development of the visual identity for Bizy, an agentic AI product represented by a mascot. The Visual Designer will help shape this evolving visual world, including the mascot’s personality and appearance, while working under the creative direction of a Senior Art Director.
This position involves close collaboration with the Senior Art Director and a small marketing team that places a strong emphasis on thoughtful ideas, visual quality, and design craftsmanship. The work extends beyond producing repetitive or templated assets and provides opportunities to contribute original creative thinking, influence the developing brand direction, and grow under experienced design leadership.
Brand Objectives
- Vibrant: Create work that feels energetic, colorful, and alive, helping managers see how the product can energize their teams.
- Real: Develop honest, grounded creative work that stays closely connected to the product and reflects how HR leaders experience their work.
- Progressive: Build a modern, confident visual identity that feels like a meaningful improvement over existing solutions.
What You’ll Do
Core Design Responsibilities
- Create high-quality visual materials for marketing campaigns, landing pages, social media, events, and sales presentations.
- Develop, organize, and maintain components within the brand design system to support consistency, usability, and scalability.
- Contribute to the visual identity of Bizy by helping define the mascot’s personality, expressions, and appearance across different contexts.
- Partner with the marketing team to translate product positioning, messaging, and narratives into compelling visual stories.
- Collaborate with product designers to maintain a consistent and cohesive brand experience across marketing and product surfaces.
- Create systems, templates, and resources that enable other team members to produce on-brand materials for social media, email, events, and related channels.
- Stay current with emerging design trends, creative practices, and AI tools.
- Share insights with the team about how design, technology, and the broader creative field are evolving.
- Produce polished creative work while also thinking critically about the ideas, strategy, and purpose behind each project.
- Bring original ideas and informed creative recommendations to the team rather than focusing only on asset production.
- Help influence the organization’s developing creative direction while the brand refresh and Bizy visual identity are still taking shape.
AI-Enabled Creative Work
- Use generative AI tools as part of the daily creative process to explore how they can enhance design quality and creative execution.
- Experiment with AI-assisted creative tools and develop a clear perspective on where they add value and where traditional design judgment remains essential.
- Apply strong visual judgment to distinguish thoughtful, high-quality AI-assisted work from generic or ineffective output.
- Bring an individual creative approach to AI experimentation while learning from a team that is already deeply engaged with these tools.
- Help establish effective standards and workflows for using AI within the creative process.
Qualifications
- Two to five years of professional visual design experience.
- A portfolio that demonstrates both creative range and strong craftsmanship.
- Evidence of thoughtful visual problem-solving, not only executional or production-focused work.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including at minimum Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience creating or working with motion graphics.
- Experience working within brand systems and a clear understanding of why visual consistency matters.
- Exposure to or interest in character design, illustration systems, or mascot development.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or relying on shortcuts.
- Genuine curiosity about AI-assisted creative tools and experience beginning to integrate them into a design workflow.
- Ability to clearly explain creative decisions while remaining open to feedback and collaboration.
- Experience working in a fast-moving startup, small team, or similarly resourceful environment where team members are expected to solve unfamiliar problems.
- Strong motivation to grow professionally and learn from an experienced senior creative leader.
- Ability to balance high-level creative thinking with hands-on production responsibilities.
